| im a college guy and as we all know have a very shallow pocket, i saw the observer on the print ads and i just told myself that i have to buy one, i am actually saving my hard earned dough for a tag heuer f1 series watch to replace my old model tag-heuer f1 i got from graduation in hs,but i saw the price for the observer and i just knew that i would be able to buy an observer sooner and frankly i like how it looks better than the tagheuer f1 watch i was planning to buy heres the question: I was thinking of buying the stainless steel observer with elastomer strap(299$) but i want to have a watch that i could wear on formal occassions so i was wondering how much would an observer stainless/elastomer strap cost if i decide to switch the straps back and forth? where can i buy the stainless/elastomer strap? i saw in the forum that swaping the straps is quite complicated is this true? which observer model(ti/ti, s/s,s/e) would you say is worth buying if you have a limited budget like me? and last question if you guys are gonna buy a suunto watch for its looks alone what model would you all reccomend? hope you could help me on this one cause the sooner i decide the sooner this watch would stop showing up in my dreams thanks in advance. |

| I would just go with the Observer and elastomer, it's dressy enough in my opinion. You should buy the Ti strap with the stainless face, it would look funny as the coloring is duller on the Ti watch, and more shiney on the Stainless. They are available on our site under acccessories and we always have them in stock. Yes, it's a pain in the ass to switch out UNLESS you have or know a jewler with the righ tool. But if you're like me and try to do it with a sharp knife, it takes me about 1/2 hour to get it. Looks alone question, that's too personal. I personally where the Titainium with an Elastomer strap that I bought separate, I like the dull finish. So does Tyler, and so does "Altiemeter guy". Hope that helps,

| wooohoo just bought the stainless steel observer with steel bracelet just now, i also ordered the elastomer band since summer is here, woohoo i/m so excited, cant wait till the fedex guy knocks on my door with my observer in his hands....im sooo excited, this is gonna be the longest wait for me, uhmm i forgot to ask do any of you guys use the face protector in your observer watches, i was thinking of getting one but it doesnt look to nice on it, i was wondering if the crystal is portruding from the face or is it submerged. can/t wait for my observer, can/t wait for my observer..... ![]() |

| I meant to say you should "NOT" buy the Ti strap with the SS face. You won't need the face protector on this one, it has the thickest of our mineral glass, which is pretty durable. so I wouldn't get it, and you're right, it would look funny.
