Setting "where" you are

I admit, the book is fuzzy about how to set the watch to get a BASE reading. How do I set the watch for the current baro/alti/temp for where I am at on the planet? I assume that this would make the watch a true weather station as it would now be showing me the changes in my area.
Thanks, but I think I need the pro's on this one.

You set the Altimeter off of a known elevation such as a contour line on a top map, top/bottom of ski lifts that provide elevation readings or a mountain pass summit sign. The "city limit" signs are inaccurate as who knows where the reading was taken.

You can set your Barometer off of http://www.weather.com/ and type in your zip code to get the closest sea level compensated barometric pressure reading. Once you reference your altitude it sets your sea level barometric pressure and vice versa.

You can not adjust your temperature reading. Remember, you need to leave your wristop off of your wrist (due to body temperature) and in the shade for 15 minutes to get your ambient temperature reading. Please read your owners manual or call Suunto USA Technical Support (800-543-9124) if you need further help on how to set the Altimeter or Barometer.
