Lockable atlimeter and barometer

I am curious about these functions on the Observer. Are they just that, functions that can be turned on and off, or are does the watch function in these ways all the time? For example, does the altimeter get locked out everytime you enter the barometer mode?

Thanks,

J

Use barometer mode on the X6 & Observer locks the altimeter so that changes in elevation are not shown. Use Altimeter mode shows your change in elevation. One might want to use the baromter mode when you are at home overnight or in tent while camping or backpacking so that changes in weather do not affect your altimeter readings while you are basically at the same place overnight.

The barometer is not locked/blocked when you are in the "use altimeter" mode. You can still see changes in absolute and sea level compensated barometric pressure.
