Altimeter in weather mode

Just got the watch 2 days ago! I love it. It is so cool. Got the stainlesssteel/ss. Everybody I show the watch to is amazed! Well some of them think I'm a big geek for getting a gadgetly watch but I think they are all jealous. One thing I can't seem to figure out. When the watch is set to weather mode, shouldn't I still be able to read the altitude in the altimeter mode and pressure in barometer mode? I though that if you set it to weather station mode it locks the altitude except when you are in altimeter mode. I hope I'm explaining this properly. I guess what I'm asking i is do I have to be in altimeter mode under the altimeter function to be able to read altitude readings?

Yes. You will know which use mode you are in by the half moon shaped icon that will apear under the Barometer mode or Altimiter. You must select how you want to use your watch, either as a Weather station or an Altimiter.

Barometer Use mode: Watch interprets all pressure changes as being due to a change in weather.

Altimeter Use mode: Watch sees all presure changes as a change in altitude.
