Hey.....Since when did Suunto offer the observer with a white face? Any chance i can send mine in and get the LCD switched?

Howdy -

I'm not sure of the exact date, but it was early this year that the Observer started coming with the white face. I'm 99% sure that you cannot have the LCD replaced with a new one, but you might try contacting Suunto to see if there is any way that it could be done, at (800) 543-9124.

FYI, the upcoming 2004 model Observer's LCD will now have a green background with black numbers.

Yes, the model that now comes with the green face (stainless steel / elastomer band) is shown on http://www.suuntowatches.com/observer.htm , the 4th watch down on the left side of the page.

There are no plans for this in the near future, although if the company finds that the green face is quite popular, it is certainly possible that they will make it available in a wider range of watches.
