Calabration of the Obsevers Compass

Gang,
I have had no luck in attemting to calabrate the compass on my Observer. I have followed the instructions and even tried the removal of the battery as outlined in the instruction manual. Am I missing something?? Should I send to SUUNTO for repair?? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

What happens when you try? I just got mine the other day, calibrated it and it has been fine so far. It didn't take the first time I calibrated it so I had to do it a second time, but I just followed along witht he directions.
