Question Suunto T6 HR belt/transmitter

I just replaced the original HR strap that came with my T6 (it began working poorly) but now can not "pair" the new belt with my T6. I'm confident I got the correct transmitter as it has the same FCC ID (RYP25002D) and is ANT compatible.

Tried new battery, etc., etc. Anybody else have problems or useful suggestions?

Max

stop your responses....!

Yeah, I figured it out. New strap works perfectly now. Here's the deal: You have to go to the "pair" function in the correct mode on the watch and tell it to....well, "pair" the proper device. When it says "turn on device" then you have about 15 seconds to short out the 2 connectors inside the transmitter strap, insert the battery, and twist close the back. Wait, Wait, Wait for it... then the watch says "successfully paired".

WEll, thanks for the help.

Max.

Was thrilled to get my hands on a new hr belt today only to have trouble getting it paired. I just couldn't figure it out.

Having read your advize to shortcut the device it worked on the first try though.

Thank you very much!

Tore

How do you "short" the contacts

I am having difficulty pairing my belt. How do you short the contacts inside of the belt to complete the pairing process as mentioned above?
