T6 with foot POD on eliptical machine

Has anyone successfully used the T6 with Foot POD on an eliptical machine? I cannot seem to get the Foot POD to register speed or distance accurately (or at all) if the eliptical machine has any incline associated with it. Suggestions, ideas or experiences?

the foot pod measures foot strikes. as the eliptical is low impact, it most likely wont work.

I have the same experience with my foot pod. It just won't work accurately on the eliptical. It works fine walking up to the machine but not on it.
