| Using GPS Pod for Open Water Swimming I am training to do some long open water swims and I am looking for a way to track myself. I have a T3 and was thinking I could get a GPS POD to track distance swam, etc... I also was wondering if there is any way for someone to track me via computer/ website. e.g.{ Can my wife throw me out in Lake Michigan and go home, track me via computer, see when I am getting close to the end point (hours later), then leave to come pick me up? Anyone have experience with it waterproofing? I will not be under 3 meters of water, but can it withstand 8 to 12 hours of swimming? If not, thoughts to waterproof more? Dry Bag, etc... Any insights would be helpful.... |

| I would look into the Spot Satellite Messenger. I use it on long bike rides and long runs when my wife wants to keep track of where I am. It has few buttons so you can let them know you are OK or even to call for help (either your wife or the 911/rescue units). |
