T6c, looking to buy one

Hello.

I am new to running, but very interested in purchasing a T6c or a T3c.
I Was also looking at the Garmin 305, 405 and a Polar(several models)

Do people fingd the GPS worth it?

I was thinking of the foot pod and HRM only.

also, what is the PC pod exactly.
Can you download info to your pc without it?
I can't figure it oit on Suunto's web page.

Thanks for any info on this.

Joe

T6c with foot pod is great combination for running. GPS with Suunto provides pace/distance info that you can also get from foot pod. GPS is more useful on difficult trails where footing is not even and the foot pod may not be easy to calibrate. Think many stones, jumping over trees and stuff like that. On roads you should have no problems.

The PC pod is of not much use with T6c as the watch connects to PC via USB cable. But it is required for T3c if you want to transfer data from watch to PC. It can be also used for training with PC to monitor your HR/EPOC/TE while running on treadmill or biking on spin bike. It sounds like fun, but gets boring real quick. I tried it few times, but later returned the PC Pod as the T6c can provide similar data on the watch directly.

No need for PC Pod with T6c.
