T6 + Footpod intermittent signals

Thanks in advance for any input.

I've had the T6 for about 3yrs now and generally really like the watch. Have used the GPS pod in the past but found it is less than reliable for the kind of tree covered trail runs I love, so recently went with the new style foot pod.

I have to say I've had less than positive results and I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious in the setup. First pod I purchased was dead (no blinking light, no pairing, new battery didn't help), took that one back and got one which actively pairs and when in close proximity (2-3ft) seems to pick up a signal. Over 2-3ft radius and results are mixed, showing either intermittent speed/distance info or none at all.

Attached is an example of the kind of sporadic data capture that occurs on a "good day" when the pod works. Bad days show a couple speed "blips" in the first few minutes followed by no data for the remainder.

I've tried changing the pod battery, pairing with no other devices in range, running in the very awkward position of arm at my side (which works until I raise my arm up to view). HELP!!

Hi dwolfe73

have you tried to change the battery in your watch, too ... may be it does not receive the data due to battery issues? (just an idea, especially as I am using the foot pod and a T3C for more than year without any issue ... except when batteries needed to be changed after approx. one year)

best regards
