Bike pod -- does it actually work?

Hi

I have a T6 and a T4 and a skewer type bike pod. I can pair the pod with both watches but neither displays any data from the the pod when it's in use.

Does this suggest a duff unit or is this a poorly designed/tested piece of kit?
