T6-Road Bike Pod with T6

I bought a brand new T6 last week and i am realy happy with it. Also bougth a Road Bike Pod and this where my problem starts:
I can successfull pair the road bike pod to my t6 watch. than i connect both gadgets, which also works ----- but as soon as i move my watch more than about 30 cm away from the bike pod (which i quite usual when sitting on a bike) the connection interrupts. I already changed the battery, and put the t6 on the same side, as i have placed the road bike pod on my bike. any idea how i can handle this????
